Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems

This robot vacuum-mop makes a great option for those who live in apartments as it has an economized docking system and comes with its own trash bin. The app lets you set different modes and monitor cleaning and mopping. The mopping function is impressive.

Its mapping and obstacle avoidance are impressive, and it is able to mops extremely well cleaning up pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties, cleans itself and refills its tank.

Roomba Combo from iRobot

The iRobot Combo includes mopping in addition to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. It doesn't quite unseat our current Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which scrubs more and has an easier-to-use mobile app however it makes for a strong alternative. It was able to consistently remove dirt from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't the most sophisticated in the world, and isn't equipped with structured light and other technology like LiDAR, but it still managed to prevent most collisions with furniture and clutter.

The Combo features most of the same features as the j7 Plus, including the latest onboard acoustic sensors that identify the type of floor and AI-powered navigation, however it lacks the ability to set suction power manually. It's also a bit smaller than the vac-only version and doesn't have a an auto-emptying dock.

The Combo is one of my favorites for homes with a lot of space. Its sleek design is also one of the best I've seen in the market. The clean, matte black plastic looks superior to the competition's metallic or glossy finishes, and iRobot's little features--like a leather tab that can open the bin onboard and a shelf within the dock to hold extra bags--are more classy than the majority of its competitors'. The iRobot Combo makes it easy to create maps and set up Keep-Out Zones.

This is particularly useful for Roborock's most popular models, such as the Qrevo Master. It is the best of its kind when it comes to navigation, thanks to both vSLAM, and LiDAR. Other robovacs are notorious for hitting furniture and slam into pet faeces, without even noticing however the Qrevo Master solves this problem with a Reactive AI system that uses twin cameras to perceive objects in a room.

Roborock robots also have a number of convenience features that make it easier to manage the need for daily maintenance, such as docks that can automatically empty themselves and multi-functional mop washing stations. It comes with more features and features, including a flexible D-shaped robot that can clean corners and under cabinets more efficiently than the round version. Its sensors include 360deg 3D (Lidar, Encoder, Gyro E-compass, and Encoder) four forward-facing and one right-side-facing FDS (IR ToF sensors for distance) and two pairs of cliff detectors front and back (most robots have only one pair).
